I saw it happening before my eyes the other day when sitting on the Verdun 107 bus passing under the CNR viaduct with a freight train passing over head and on each freight rail flat an armoured truck in camouflage colors,dozens of armoured trucks heading east to Halifax and from there most likely to Afghanistan.
Do you know how much those thousand ton suckers cost?
About half a million each plus cost of transport plus cost of fueling plus cost of maintenance plus cost of soldier’s salaries plus the profit the manufacturers make and the cut the Afghanistan warlords get and all to protect the pipeline they want to put through from the new Caspian Sea oil deposits through Afghanistan and Pakistan to the Indian ocean,so the American corporate elite and their junior associates in Canada Britain,France,Germany,Italy and all, can have an alternative oil source to the dangerously unstable Middle East.

Is that what we want them to do with the billions of dollars they cut from our social services?
