A decision is made by Washington to send more-not less-more American troops into Iraq?..Didn’t a whole shitload of Democrats just get elected on the promise that the reverse would happen?
Obviously the Washington elite think they can appease the growing anti-war sentiment by publicly opposing the war while privately plotting a determined effort to score a military victory in Iraq
But it’s a doomed maneuver that will only further antagonize the 80% of American people who have not benefited and do not stand to benefit from military aggressions designed to make a few more millionaires into billionaires
More and more the Washington governing elite is exposing itself as a malignant alien force defending interests that endanger the lives of ordinary Americans ,especially now when those interests dictate the legimitization of war as a mean of securing markets
Going to pay big time for this one

Maybe I’ll retrace my November walk today from Verdun High School to 260 Second Avenue in memory of the day that John F.Kennedy was shot & killed down in Dallas
I will go out and look for me,the young man with nowhere to become or go to

The news hit Montreal just before class was dismissed
The other people in the school corridors were already talking but I couldn’t hear what they weren’t saying cause they couldn’t see the one person who wasn’t supposed to be there
And walking into 260 Second Avenue and going up the stairs to my room
to my room to my room
“Did you hear the news?”my mother said
my mother said
“John F.Kennedy is dead”
he's dead
and then and there suddenly they were all looking from the outside at me
I could be seen

By chance happening on the Lawrence Welk show,watching a re-run from the 70’s on cable tv. Some of the younger musicians have ‘The Dry Look’ hairdos and sideburns in contrast to maestro Lawrence Welk with hair sculptured by Brylcrem-do they still sell that stuff-‘A Little Dab Will Do Ya”?
But otherwise you'd never guess Woodstock ever happened
The women so very very white and clean with aerosol hair buffos and tranquillized smiles dancing wth daring dash of crinolines like it was still 1941 in Perora,Indiana

Stayed up late watching CNN elections returns in the States
Looks like Democrats won the House and probably the Senate-two seats undecided
What does it mean?
Maybe a slightly quicker withdrawal from Iraq but more than that it could be a step closer to the long overdue formation of a party to the left of the Democrats
Once in power,it won’t take long for the Democrats to reveal that only rhetoric separates them from the “Leave no Billionaire Behind” policies of the Republicans.
The Clinton ‘I feel your pain’ hug won’t do the trick in the 21st century
